Panic erupted at the West Bardhaman District Court in Asansol after authorities received a threatening email targeting the judges and the court premises. The message warned of an explosion involving 15 RDX bombs and claimed that 11 improvised explosive devices using C-4 and RDX had already been planted at key locations within the court complex. Security officials immediately acted to contain the situation and ensure the safety of all personnel present.
Following the email, local police and the bomb disposal squad were deployed to investigate the threat. A thorough search operation was carried out throughout the court complex, and tight security measures were implemented to prevent any potential mishap. Staff and visitors were evacuated as a precaution while the authorities assessed the seriousness of the threat.
